State Convention
Find out more about our upcoming 2011 New York convention this summer. |
Membership The
Eastern New York Chapter
has special rules for groups, choirs, soloists who desire
to participate or enjoy membership. Local choir and group
will be recognized in the National Convention, if they
actively and consistently participate in the Local/State
Chapter, unless, the Chapter Representative grants the
individual exemption. As a member of the chapter, you
are expected to participate in the following functions:
- One
Day Workshop in February
- Annual
State Convention in June
- Attend
Monthly Chapter meetings
- Participate
in Local District Functions/Events
- New
York Chapter Choir rehearsals. (If
you are a choir member.)
By complying with the above regulations, this entitles
you to membership in the national body of the GMWA. All
members are entitled to a free email account. Individuals
who cannot actively work in the chapter can enjoy GMWA
membership as an Associate Member. The sponsoring District
President must submit their name to the Chapter Representative
for approval. Group Membership This allows groups or choirs
with six or more members GMWA membership in our Chapter
without each individual member paying separate dues. It
does not exempt Groups/Choirs from fulfilling their local
district obligations. To contact the Boro President from your area, click the appropriate name below:
